System design starts by building a "wireframe"
model of the interior of the room: Then the audience seating area is added:
With the speakers added a view of the sound coverage of the seating

Ease software gives system designers the opportunity to see how a sound system and room acoustics interact in advance of installation. Use of this tool is essential during the system design stage of any project where good quality sound coverage is a serious consideration. |

By clicking on the various links on the left you can view some of the images that the system or acoustic design engineer uses to determine the proper configurations. The designer is looking for the proper relationship between a particular loudspeaker(s) and the acoustic characteristics of the room most specifically exactly what each listener will hear when the system is installed and functional. By changing the loudspeaker model, position of the loudspeaker, wall, floor and ceiling materials different results are achieved. The designer can then suggest proper system configuration as well as surface materials that will best serve the customer for their venue. While a designer may choose to guess at a particular configuration based up on prior experience, there is no substitute to knowing in advance, even before the room is built, how the system will respond in actual service. Discerning buyers will demand the study be complete and analyzed by a competent, experienced design engineer before agreeing to a particular design. |
