Audio system design requires an in depth study of each individual room including but not limited to:
  • Acoustic characteristics
  • Behavior partially occupied
  • Behavior fully occupied
  • Shape including size
  • Various uses or configurations

Each combination of results established the parameters that are used to determine exactly the speaker type required to meet the unique needs for the space. Each speaker model has different coverage areas and delivers different audible responses. Depending on whether the speaker is free standing or clustered with other speaker(s) will dictate the final quality of sound in the room. Some speakers work acceptably when used alone but not well with other speakers while other speaker cabinets are specifically designed to work in a cluster or array.

Modeling the room using dedicated computer software EASE (click to see detailed information) allows the designer to "see," in advance of installation, how a speaker(s) and room will react to each other. This eliminates the guesswork.

Different venues require different speakers and different system components. Click on your area of interest in the box at left to see more detail and examples of installations.

Once the system is installed and working, the designer will take actual measurement of the sound in the room and be able to make the final system adjustments required to provide premium sound to the audience.
