Equalization: Equalization is the function of balancing the output of an audio or video system to the actual input to the system. Each electronic system or electroacoustic device brings its own colorization to the audio or video signal. Equalization returns what the listener hears and the viewer sees to the same values as the original sound within the limitations of the system(s) involved.
